Media Kit

Hello! We hope you’ve landed on this page because you’re so excited about what we’re doing here that you want to help us spread the word far and wide! If so, we’ve created all sorts of resources below to help you do this! We’ve put together information, sample posts, logos, graphics and more to make sharing easy.

What is Futurithmic?

Futurithmic is an editorially independent online publication and video series exploring the many implications of emerging technologies. It is a Nokia original, but adheres to a “church and state” separation, ensuring that we serve an editorial mission, not a campaign goal.

There are many talented people behind the strategy, creation and the production of the publication and series. You can meet them over here.

For more on what we’re doing here, check out the statement from our Editor-in-Chief.

The articles you’ll enjoy on this publication are written by the editorial team, journalists, thought leaders, academics, Nokia innovators and anyone who has great insight to share. To note, we’re always looking for new voices to add to the insightful commentary here, so apply here.

What does Futurithmic mean?

In a nutshell, Futurithmic is the combination of:

Futurithmic = FUTURE + ALGORITHMIC

Algorithmic thinking is a computational term that you may be familiar with in the format of the IF (condition) / THEN (outcome) statement. It is the process of outlining well-defined steps to achieve the desired outcome. That’s what we aim to do here: exploring the consequences of the various conditions so that we can take more intentional steps towards the best possible future. More about the name here.

Refrain from using #futurithmic (tag us as @futurithmic instead), #future (too broad!), #futurythmic (sick beat, but not the right rithmic), or #futureithmic (too many vowels!).
